Summary

This is a slightly longer walk from Wells-next-the-Sea to Stiffkey that is suitable for inexperienced walkers.

It makes use of the Norfolk Coastal Path and offers exceptional views across the marshland.

Details

It is possible to shorten this walk by parking in the town centre rather than the beach, yet I highly recommend walking the extra mile for the views of the harbour as you approach the town centre.

Start at the Wells Beach Cafe and head away from the sea on the raised pathway that runs between Beach Road and the harbour.

At the junction of Beach Road and the B1105, head left past the distinctive Granary. Just past The Granary, as the B1105 bears right, carry on straight down the minor road (signposted East Quay).

At the end of East Quay there is a fork. Take the leftmost path and you will shortly pick up the Norfolk Coastal Path.
