The Prairie Cottage Sheringham » Norfolk »
Norfolk is the perfect county for walking. Dig out your old walking boots and enjoy walks through country villages, along the coastal path and in lush forests, with walks for all ages and levels of experience.
The Norfolk Coastal Path is practically on the doorstep of The Prairie and runs between Hunstanton and Sea Palling. It is clearly signposted, and provides an easy to follow route to navigate stretches of the coast. You just need to follow the acorn!
The excellent Coasthopper bus service provides respite for weary legs; running more or less in parallel with the coast it provides a practical way to access the further reaches of the Coastal Path on public transport.
You can also travel by style on the North Norfolk Railway to Weybourne for a relaxing way to start your coastal walk from Weybourne.
There is plenty to look at whilst walking and once you’ve reach your destination you are sure to find a traditional welcome in a local pub or restaurant.
