Mundesley BeachMundesley is a quiet seaside village on the coast between Cromer and Happisburgh and is a bit of a hidden gem.

There is limited on-street parking but there is plenty of room in the pay and display car park with overflow parking during peak season.

The slopes down to the beach from road level are suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. The beach has been awarded the coveted Blue Flag for 2016 and is great for sandcastles, paddling and swimming, though it can be a bit pebbly at the waters edge. A lifeguard service is available during the summer months on the main stretch of the beach.

In addition to the beaches, there are plenty of greens to explore, near the car park and next to the beach. Ideal for picnics, and with plenty of benches. The Maritime Museum is next to the green above the beach, celebrating Mundesley’s relationship with the sea, next to an interesting war memorial in the shape of a bomb.

Adventure Island Crazy Golf in MundesleyAcross the road from the Maritime Museum is Adventure Island; a well laid out 18-hole crazy golf course with lakes and waterfalls to navigate.

We can highly recommend the Jonet Café near the beach, which serves hot and cold food along with a range of cold drinks and ice-creams.

For pub grub we can recommend The Ship Inn which is within walking distance of the main car park. There is a fish and chip shop if you fancy a fish supper. If you decide to explore the village there are a couple of nice gift shops, a post office and a gallery.
