It’s been nearly four months since we purchased The Prairie and updated the website; a period of great excitement & trepidation…

My family loves Sheringham. My mother and siblings live close by, so my wife, kids and I have spent many a happy holiday exploring North Norfolk and have rented many self catering cottages, including The Prairie.

So, when The Prairie came up on the market early this year we jumped at the opportunity, though did not make the decision lightly. We are aware of the great responsibilities of ensuring that our guests have a fantastic holiday experience. The previous owner, Christine, knowing how much we love The Prairie expressed gladness that she was leaving it in safe hands…

Our first summer season is now over and we have started making some improvements. The Welcome Pack has been updated. The dryer has been replaced, and three new mattresses have been purchased for the attic room. The garden needed clearing. We’ve made a note of where the décor needs refreshing and are planning on installing free WiFi for our guests use in the next week or so.

It’s been a bit of a steep learning curve, but have been helped by David at Arnolds Keys, who has been an excellent counsellor as well as handling the lettings for us.

We’ll be updating this website on a regular basis with updates on what’s happening in the area. If you are on Facebook or Twitter you can also follow us on there.

But most of all, we’ll be working hard on ensuring that when our next guests arrive, everything will be ship shape & they will feel that they are in their second home.
